The Pauri Garhwal Group’s main aim is to preserve and flourish the rich culture and heritage of the Land of Gods Uttarakhand and its simple & innocent people.

The Pauri Garhwal Group is the single largest hot & fast growing group in the Internet Community of citizens of Pauri Garhwal & Garhwal. As on date (15/06/2005) more than 600 members have joined their own community within seven months of creation of the Group. This Group is specially meant for Garhwalis belonging to Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
Further, The Pauri Garhwal Group is also functioning on other platforms in line with that on Pauri Garhwal Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/paurigarhwal) such as Orkut, MSN Group and Google Group, Hi5 Community with the same aims and objectives.

GROUP INTRODUCTION

The group as described in its website is aimed to preserve and flourish the rich culture and heritage of the Land of Gods Uttarakhand and its simple & innocent people.

After creation of The Pauri Garhwal Group, many garhwalis have benefited from the activites of the Group. People are contributing towards development of Uttaranchal and its people. Regular meets are held at difference places in India. It reaches out to all such Garhwalis and thus knits all of them in a closely associated Garhwali community on the web.

AIM OF THE PAURI GARHWAL GROUP

Pauri Garhwal is a Group formed with the intention of brining together people from Garhwal region/districts & our main aim is to encourage all Garhwalis to do everything based on their personal and professional capacities through the activities of the Pauri Garhwal Group .

OBJECTIVE OF THE GROUP

Our objective is to advance the understanding of development of our region, leading to improved life and work outcomes for individuals and GARHWALI community.

Other Aims of the Group:

• Develop a sense of unity among the people belonging to Pauri Garhwal & whole Uttaranchali community living in different parts of India & whole world.
• To help the people of the region in career opportunities, career guidance and in any other way possible.
• Any other issue which the group members agree upon to be pursued by the group, from time to time.

Hierarchy in the Group

The Pauri Garhwal Group was initiated by KARNBIR SINGH RAWAT and he is the owner of the group. The owner of the Group KARNBIR SINGH RAWAT belongs to Patty Maniyarsuin (East) of District PAURI GARHWAL. Subsequently, some of the members have been appointed as Moderators of the group to overlook different activities of the groups. Organizers are selected among the members for organizing physical meets of the group. Moderators / Organizers have been appointed on the basis of their activities in the group.
Further, during physical meets of the group, it was deliberated by the members to give some shape to the group for carrying out physical activities, wherein needy people living in Garhwal & Uttaranchal can be helped.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR OWN COMMUNITY
You can also be an active member of the group by participating in the following group activities:-

• Participate in the Meets held by the group from time to time in different places over the country, primarily Delhi.
